High School Beach Victories

High School Beach Victories

Congratulations to all the Thunder players who participated in the High School Provincial Tournament this past weekend. Our young beach twins, Megan and Nicole McNamara took the gold in the grade 8 Division, (even though they are not even in high school yet) winning the final sets 21/8, 21/11. Kenzie MacDonald and Taylor Smith got the silver in the Grade 10 Division followed by Renee Toxopeus and Nicole Alivojvodic taking the bronze. Again congratulations to all of the girls who competed. Good luck with the rest of the season.

Level 1 Hitting Program

Level 1 Hitting Program

The Thunder Volleyball Academy Level 1 Hitting Program focuses on basic to advanced hitting mechanics depending on the current level of the athlete. Utilizing the Attack Trainer and Dartfish Video analysis software, each athlete will work on each and every phase of the attack sequence. There are 9 phases in the sequence, and with the recorded action as the athletes’ train they will see all the things that are correct and all the things that need to be worked on to perfect their attack sequence.
